Operating standard
Every match follows the same result rules.
These rules explain how Kayapool handles picks, abandoned matches, voided matches, disputes, refunds, result sources, and withdrawals. Licensing, KYC, tax, or M-Pesa requirements may add stricter controls before or after launch.
Pick lock
Late picks
Picks are accepted only while a match is open and the kickoff time is still in the future. Once picks close, kickoff passes, or the match is settled, no new picks or option changes are allowed.
One pick
Duplicate picks
Each account may pick a match once. The selected option and committed KES amount are locked after submission, except where the match is voided or refunded.
Official outcome
Result source
Settlement must use the final result published by the competition organizer, federation, league, or an approved data provider. If sources conflict, settlement waits until the operator has a reliable final result.
Match status
Abandoned or postponed matches
If a match is abandoned, postponed, cancelled, or materially changed before a final result is available, the match stays closed while the operator reviews it. The match is settled only if the official body confirms a final result.
No unfair settlement
Voided matches and refunds
A match should be voided when no fair official result exists, when the wrong fixture was listed, or when a material platform error affected picks. In that case, eligible picks are refunded to the same Kayapool wallet used to join.
Review window
Settlement disputes
A user may dispute a settlement by referencing the match, pick, and official result source. The operator reviews wallet history, result source, and admin action history before deciding whether to uphold, correct, or void the match.
Reward distribution
When a match is settled, winners share the reward proportionally based on the KES amount they committed to the winning option. Platform fees are calculated from the total picked amount and recorded separately in wallet history.
Withdrawal timelines
Withdrawal requests are sent to M-Pesa after validation and may be held while provider, KYC, tax, fraud, or balance checks complete. Failed withdrawals should be reviewed and either retried or returned to the user's Kayapool wallet with the refund visible in wallet history.
Records and support
Wallet history is the first source of truth for KES top-ups, withdrawals, picks, rewards, fees, and refunds. Users should share the visible reference when asking support to check a payment, refund, or match settlement.
User conduct and platform control
Account checks
Users may be asked for age, identity, phone, and payment verification before picking or withdrawing.
Suspicious activity
Kayapool may pause picks, settlement, or withdrawals while suspected abuse, fraud, or payment reversals are reviewed.
Rule changes
Material rule changes should be published before they apply to new matches. Existing matches should follow the rules shown at pick time.
